How Long Do Dried Flowers Last?
Dried flowers outlast their fresh equivalent significantly.
Dried flowers are everywhere lately, with their everlasting beauty taking social media by storm. Sustainability is the main attraction point, and they are a great investment for years to come, lasting significantly longer than their fresh alternatives.
But with that point in mind the real reason that you’re probably reading this is because you need to know:
How Long do Dried Flowers Really Last?
If they are looked after well, dried flowers can last up to 5 years in some varieties, but most have a lifespan varies between 1-3 years
10 years ago, well before starting Hidden Botanics, I was buying flowers every week just to get that amazing feeling of closeness to nature in your own home that flowers can bring. But in the end, the sad truth is that fresh flowers only last for 10 DAYS! And that’s if you’re lucky! My heart couldn’t take it anymore. I had to find more sustainable options. That was what sparked my passion for dried flowers, and this love has been going strong since then.
Some varieties can last up to 10 years if preserved in glycerin and kept in their container.
If you want to get the most out of your dried flowers, be sure to keep them away from humidity and direct sun exposure. This way you can enjoy them for years to come.
Some species, like the french lavender, also retain their gorgeous scent for a long time. So no need for scent diffusers.
Lovely quality, beautiful colours & smell nice! Even better than I was expecting, can't wait to use them next month for my wedding - thank you!! :)
